Pharmacy Assistant
Diploma Program
Program Summary
Emphasis in the Pharmacy Assistant program is placed on the hands-on skills necessary to be employed in the field. Students will learn the technical and clerical aspects of assisting a Pharmacist, and a Pharmacy Technician including customer service, inventory control using pharmacy equipment, preparing medications for dispensing, compounding and purchasing.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates are qualified to work as Pharmacy Assistants in hospital, institutional and retail environments. Hospitals, doctor's offices, and specialist clinics require able assistants.
