Meet Christie, a recent graduate and the Valedictorian from the Oshawa training location from the MLAT program. This is Chistie’s story about her dream! 🤩
She always had a spark for science, but her path to becoming a medical lab assistant took a few detours. After graduating from school, she pursued chemical engineering and worked in a quality control lab. But life had other plans—Christie took a break to raise her kids, putting her lab dreams on hold.
Years later, while working as an administrative assistant in a hospital, Christie realized this career wasn’t for her. The call of the lab was too strong to ignore. That’s when she decided to join Trillium College’s MLAT program to reignite her passion.
While in school, Christie discovered her love for histopathology, and now dreams of working in a histopathology lab. She thrived in the supportive environment, building strong bonds with her classmates and learning from inspiring teachers.
Looking ahead, Christie’s ambitions don’t stop here. She might return to pursue the technologist program in three years, taking her skills to the next level. She’s ready to dive into the lab and do the work she’s passionate about.
