Meet Jay Johnson, a recent graduate of the Massage Therapy program at Trillium College. Before stepping into the world of massage therapy, Jay worked as a field technician for the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, handling field conversions and signage for the team known as the "Wolfpack."
Jay’s journey began at the Oshawa Center, where he discovered Trillium College’s campus. A quick online search led him to the Massage Therapy program, a perfect match for his hands-on skills and passion for helping others. He had a knack for giving family members therapeutic massages and decided to learn Massage Therapy.
Jay’s time at Trillium was life-changing, thanks to flexible online learning and hands-on clinics. Practicing with real clients was a game-changer, helping him sharpen his skills for the professional world. Throughout his journey, the Trillium team provided unwavering support, guiding him through personal challenges and past traumas.
Jay's dedication is paying off—he already has multiple job offers from reputable clinics. In three years, he envisions himself in a steady routine, helping people heal every day, and even dreams of starting his practice. His advice to anyone interested in Massage Therapy is clear: “Stick with it. The challenges are worth it, and the instructors will guide you every step of the way.”
With his heart set on making a difference, Jay left the graduating class of 2024 with a powerful message: “Live to Love and love to live.”
